Nenda Salama, Inside Leonard Mambo Mbotela Burial At Lang’ata Cemetery

Mzee Leonard Mambo Mbotela, a veteran journalist who is among the most celebrated journalists in Kenya, was finally laid to rest at the famous Lang’ata Cemetery.

The memorial service was held at All saints cathedral, and few government dignitaries attended, because most of them are currently in Ethiopia to cheer up Raila Odinga.

Mambo Mbotela body was then transported by road to Lang’ata Cemetery, where the final service was held. He was praised for being a mentor, role model and also a professional in the field of journalism.

His body was then lowered into a normal grave in Lang’ata Cemetery and that was the final journey of the legendary.

May his soul rest in peace, Mbotela was buried in Lang’ata cemetery , because his original home is said to be in Malawi, hence it would have been a very long process to trace his ancestry.
