Prostitution has been on the rise in Kenya, this is as a result of high cost of living. Hence most ladies are becoming prostitutes so that they can atleast make their daily meals. Kakamega town is among the key towns in western Kenya, where prostitution is really becoming rampant.

A viral video of one of the famous streets in the town, where harlots sell their goods has raised many questions among Kenyans. The streets id known as Vike Street. It is just in the town, and it provides conducive environment for such acts.

Here prostitutes sell their goodies on a broad daylight without any fear. Alot of young ladies are always spotted alongside the roads , wearing revealing outfits, and they have that courage of approaching any man and convince them to sleep with them for money.

There are alot of rooms in the streets, all those are meant for this evil business. Something shocking is that the vike street is surrounded with churches. Almost every famous church has its branch in this street.

Due to economic hardships, the young ladies sell their bodies for as low as ksh.50 Bob per round. They give customers room for bargaining.

The prices are cheaper, but if a man refuses to pay them after session, they always unite and make that man to pay that money by force.

This is just so heartbreaking, imagine selling your body for such money? What if you get infections ?.It is time for the county government of Kakamega should do something about this evil acts.
