Isaya Yunge has responded to claims that he was previously married and had an abandoned child, dismissing the allegations and clarifying that the child mentioned is actually his niece.

The claims were shared by a popular blog, which linked Yunge to a child allegedly left abandoned. However, the former presidential aspirant said the report was false and accused the blog of dragging an innocent child into a story that had nothing to do with her.

Yunge explained that the child is his brother David Wachira’s daughter and urged those behind the claims to apologise to his family.

“You will have to apologise to my brother, Dr David Wachira, for dragging his precious child to your hateful nonsense,” Isaya Yunge said on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

He said the child had done nothing to deserve being mentioned in the controversy and warned against spreading unverified information about people’s private lives.

Yunge also challenged the people behind the report to establish the child’s real identity instead of associating her with him. He accused the blog of creating stories for attention and engagement online.

“You play with people’s lives, but when you touch an innocent child and fabricate stories for clicks and likes, you have unleashed a lifetime enemy hunt,” he said.

The politician further defended his niece, saying he could not remain silent after an innocent member of his family was brought into the matter.

“Look for the father of my beautiful innocent niece and apologise; you got too much; you ended up attacking a Kenyan family,” Yunge said.

Yunge has remained in the public spotlight following his engagement to Charlene Ruto. His relationship and personal life have continued to attract attention online, with various claims emerging about him.

His latest response was aimed at setting the record straight and making it clear that the child at the centre of the allegations is his niece, not his daughter.
