Before being given a transfer to Turkana area, Afande Denno used to be based in Nairobi. He was working at Tassia police station. He went viral online for being one of the most loved police officers in Kenya. He is always friendly to Kenyans and always against police shooting innocent civilians.

Afande Denno did an exclusive interview with 2mbili, he was still residing in Eastlands, Nairobi. Denno revealed that currently from his salary, he was only receiving ksh.17,000 or even sometimes Ksh.11,000 or Ksh.13,000. It is because of some loans he still has.

Speaking about the actual salary of him, Denno said that the actual salary is about Ksh.30,000 every month. He said that police don’t earn much money as many people think. That is some of the reasons why you see some take bribes, others even let out their essentials to gangsters.

He opened up on the pressure, depression and difficulties that most police officers face. Despite all that Denno said that he will always work to protect Kenyans and not to harm them.
