After filling Kasarani Stadium, Pastor Ezekiel Odero, is still the talk of the town. The founder of New Life Church in Mavueni, Kilifi has really gained alot of fame and his followers believe that he is indeed the true man of God.

Background of Pastor Ezekiel.
His real name is Ezekiel Odero. He is in mid 40s and he was born in Homabay County. However he relocated to coastal region of Kenya, Kilifi County.
Career Journey
Being a Fisherman.
The man of God started his career journey in Kisumu, and he used to be a fisherman. After a while he relocated to Mombasa , where he also schooled .

He is an alumnus of the Technical University of Mombasa, formerly known as Mombasa Polytechnic.
Gaining Fame.
In 2019 was the year he started gaining fame. Ezekiel used to preach for people through television during the lockdown period. He is a great friend of Pastor Pius Mwiru.

He was once an instrumentalists at Pastor Owour’s church of repentance and holiness. He used to play Violin and Piano. He has ever confessed that he used to be a fornicator who had been involved in alot of sexual sins.
His is very strict on dressing code and he is also strict about ladies visiting his offices. He is a focused man of God and he has tried as much as possible to become among the most influential pastors in Kenya.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero Praying for the sick.
It is alleged that the man of God has the devine power to heal the sick. After moving his church from Shanzu to Mavueni due to large number of followers, Ezekiel continued spreading the gospel.
In his church , he sells ‘Holy water’ to people from various denominations and different walks of life. The water is believed to offer healing and protection.
Marriage
He is a married man and his wife is called Sarah. She is a class 3 dropout, and at some point this dissapointed his family members, because they believed that she wasn’t capable of speaking fluent English.

I looked at my wife and didn’t see English but a beautiful woman who can take care of a ministry. English can’t take care of a ministry!” he said.
The two lover birds have been together for 13 years. They have children and they have been spreading the Gospel of God together. They always work together and Sarah is his helper not only at home but also at the church.

Pastor Ezekiel is among the richest men of God in Kenya. However he plays low and he rarely mention his wealth. He invest alot of money in his ministry. Currently he is building a huge church in Kilifi that will be hosting about 20,000 people per session.
