The Death toll from Sabasaba protest is rising and it is now accounted that 43 people were shot by police officers to death in different parts of the country.

In the list there is a 17 years old boy identified as James Gachara. The young man is a son to a DCI police officer who is stationed at Meru. Gachara was shot in Nanyuki and died days later. Reliable sources have revealed that the young man was shot on the leg.

He was rushed to the hospital, but died later because of excessive bleeding.

This is a very painful death, and no one should celebrate death of young people in the streets. The police should also know that they can be affected with this demonstration, they should be professional in their work and avoid shooting innocent protesters.
