Another major win for lawyer Babu Owino, and a relieve to family members of 42 GenZs who were arrested during the Sabasaba protest. The young people had been given a cash bail of Ksh.100,000 , which they couldn’t afford, they were jailed, but Babu Owino decided to represent them at Thika law courts for free and managed to convince the judge to reduce the bail to Ksh.30,000.

The Embakasi East MP, said that it wasn’t easy, but because he vowed to support the young people, especially the innocent GenZs and also Kenyans who are being arrested by government for fighting for their rights , he had to do whatever it takes to help the 42 young people.

Judge Florence, has now granted them the cash bail of Ksh.30,000 each, Babu is optimistic that all of them will be free soon. Kenyans have also shown interest to support them by sending some money to clear the bail for some of them.
