Biography of Khaligraph Jones
Background.
Khaligraph Jones was born Brian Ouko Robert in 1990 and grew up in one of Kenya’s more dangerous areas. He has several siblings and Span Kob is his eldest brother. His sister Toti is also familiar to many people. Khaligraph is from Bondo but he has been raised in Nairobi,Kayole.
Education.
The rapper doesn’t talk much about his education.He faced alot of difficulties, especially when his father died of Diabetes. His father was the family provider. At some point in highschool he was forced to drop out before coming back after like 2years. He is a form four drop out ,and he managed to score a D+.
Working as A Bouncer.
After form four,due to his huge body, Khaligraph started working as a bouncer. He bounced in several clubs in Nairobi earning ksh.500 per day. He also used to work at a hotel, Matatu tout and even at the gym.
Music Journey and becoming successful.
We all know that hiphop is not a Kenyan thing. When Khaligraph started his music Journey back in 2008, he faced alot of backlash.
He didn’t give up till 2013, when somehow his songs started to be heard.
However his first hitsong to go viral was Yego ,he dedicated it to Julius Yego after winning Rio Olympic Gold. People noticed that he is talented and started focusing on his music.
