Bahati: I Went Into 2 Months Depression After Spending Ksh.33 M On Mathare MP Campaigns And Failed

Kevin Bahati’s dream of becoming the member of parliament for Mathare in 2022, were shuttered by Antony Oluoch. He defeated him with a very huge margin. This made Bahati to go into a depression for a period of two months.

The musician said he had an ambition of changing Mathare, however all his campaign period he was crying because, ODM and Azimio in general were frustrating him. They forced Jubilee to take back the certificate that they had already given him.

Bahati decided to vie as an independent candidate, and he spend Ksh.33 Million on campaigning for the top seat in Mathare. He however didn’t emerge victorious, he failed terribly. This was the worst moment in his life, he decided to take time off social media.

He isolated himself and went into depression for 2 months, that was a very huge loss, and he had never experienced such a pain in his life. Bahati said that after a while he healed, and he is hopeful that 2027, he will be the MP of Mathare. He will vie as an independent candidate.
