ODM party leader, Raila Odinga has come out openly to defend his secretary general Senator Sifuna, this is after he criticised Ruto on a live TV interview and publicly said that Ruto must go. Raila said that everyone in ODM has the right to speak and Sifuna is the mouthpiece of the party.

Raila said that freedom of speech is allowed in his party, and Sifuna was among the people who wrote the memorandum of understanding between him and Ruto. Therefore he has every right to speak and say whatever he is seeing going wrong.

Raila said that ODM usually has meetings with delegates of the party, and the communications on decisions made by the party is communicated to Kenyan citizens through Sifuna. Raila said that Sifuna shouldn’t be criticised, he has done nothing wrong, he is exercising his freedom of speech, which is allowed in ODM.
