Win For GenZs Arrested On Sabasaba After Babu Owino Convinced Judge To Lower Bail From 100K To 15K.

A number of GenZs who were arrested on Sabasaba are still in custody. They have been there for 1 month now.The judge had previously made a ruling that they will have to pay a cash bail of Ksh.100,000 each, however lawyer Babu Owino, and his legal team who have been representing them for free, have managed to convince the courts to lower the cash bail, to Ksh.15,000 each.

That is a very significant win for the young people, and some parents can afford to pay that amount so that their children can be freed. They had been arrested for participating in nationwide protest against the government. There mistake was to call out William Ruto’s government, demand for accountability, end of police brutality and also justice for hundreds of GenZs the government has killed, abducted and even some received life threatening injuries.
