Stephen Letoo : We Arrived In India & Nobody Was Allowed To View Raila Odinga’s Body In The Coffin.
Stephen letoo has revealed that when Raila was pronounced dead, he was among the people who went to India to bring back the body of the former prime minister. The crew led by Mudavadi, landed in India, and they were not allowed to view the dead body of Raila in the coffin, the coffin was sealed ready for transportation and protected by Indian military.
Letoo said that things were done in a haste at Mumbai airport, after a short prayer, the coffin was loaded into the KQ flight, and immediately they started their journey back to Kenya.
The reason why they weren’t allowed to view the dead body of Raila while in India, is because the body wasn’t prepared for viewing. That’s why the plan was that Raila should be taken to Lee funeral home, the body be embalmed well, then coffin changed, and after that the public will be given a chance to view his body.
However it seems like the entire embalming process and changing of the coffin and dress code was done by KDF mortician at Kasarani stadium, the VIP lounge, before the public was allowed to view the dead body of Raila.
