The most awaited match between Harambee stars junior vs Uganda Cranes under 18 , ended with premium tears on the host, Kenya who were humiliated 2- 1 by the cranes.

The match was held at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium, Mamboleo, Kisumu County. The stadium was full of Kenyan fans, who came to cheer junior stars that had shown a very impressive form in the tournament.
Cyphas Owour at the 65th scored a very amazing goal for Kenya, and all was going well till 77th minute, through a defensive error, Abbas of Uganda gave the cranes an equaliser.
90 plus 3 minutes , The game ended in a draw and it proceeded to extra time. Uganda started with a very high stamina, and they were able to take an early lead at 90+54 seconds.It was a shocking goal, and also as a result of defensive mistake.

Uganda then decided to defend well, despite all the struggles by the junior stars, they were unable to pull back the goal in both extra times. In 120 plus minutes, Uganda managed to remain at the top and they emerged the Under 18 champions of 2023 Cecafa challenge.
