Mwenda is a farmer who owns a garlic onions farm. The farm is about 10 acres and it is located in Buuri sub-county, Meru-Nanyuki Road in Kisima. The farm is well cultivated and designed in a way that it provides a conducive environment for the healthy growth of garlic onions.

Speaking in an interview, Samuel Mwenda said that for the 13 years he has been doing garlic onions farming, he has really reaped alot. He said that each year he has been making profits. On a good year he usually makes ksh.1.2 Million and above just from selling the garlic onions.

This has become his source of living and it is true that someone can depend on agriculture for a living. He said that before making it in garlic farming he had struggled with French beans, which failed terribly.

He advised farmers to always try crop rotation, if a particular crop isn’t doing well, they should replace it with another one. Samuel is now living a lavish lifestyle and able to meet his needs because of the millions he earns from garlic onions farming.
