Famous and celebrated actor of the famous Mother in law program, that is normally aired at citizen tv, Patrick Oketch, famous as Charlie has finally decided to open up on his role at Mother in law and why he left and also about him acting as an alcoholic.
Speaking in an interview with Lynne Ngugi, Charlie said that after acting at Mother in law for 12 years, and being the script writer of the show for some years he decided to quit.
The main reason why he decided to call it done, is because he felt worthless, and his efforts weren’t recognised or appreciated as expected. He said that he even used to do more extra things for the show to be perfect, but on his payslip nothing changed.

Charlie and Selina well known as Kate Actress, were at some point the face of Mother in law. The two made the series interesting, they were super talented and in the whole series, Charlie is known as a drunkard uncle.
He played a role of a drunkard person, and he did it very perfect. However something shocking is that in real life, Charlie has never tasted alcohol, he even doesn’t do drugs. He is a very sober person.

Charlie said that he is a very good actor , that is why he was able to play his role well, till people just identified him as a drunkard person. Even in real life some people still think that he is an alcoholic man. That is not the case, he is a very responsible family man, despite all the struggles he makes sure his family is well and he is always there for the family.
