Harambee Stars Defender Omija Emotional Message To Kenyans After Missing Penalty Against Madagascar

Harambee Stars’ top defender, Omija, scored in the 1-1 draw against Madagascar, but unfortunately missed his penalty during the shootout.

Omija has since released an emotional message to Kenyans and all the fans who came out to support the team.

In a post on Instagram, Omija expressed that he shares the same emotions as everyone else, disappointment and sadness, just like the Kenyan fans who filled Kasarani Stadium and various viewing zones to cheer on Harambee Stars.

He acknowledged that, unfortunately, luck was not on their side, and the team lost in the penalty shootout.

Both Omija and his defensive partner, Kibwage, missed their penalties during the tense moment.

Despite the loss, Kenyans have shown appreciation for the team’s effort, their commitment to representing the country, and their achievement in reaching the quarterfinals of the CHAN tournament.
