    Dark Past Of Sultana: My Parents Died When I Was Only 7 Months ‘ Nimelelewa Kwa familia ya Kimaskini Sana’.

    It is always said that there is light at the end of every tunnel, and better days will always show up. Mwanasha Johara well known as Sultana is one of the famous female actresses in Kenya who had a very dark past before making it in life.

    Speaking in an interview with Lulu Hassan at Citizen TV, Sultana said that she lost all her parents when she was still a toddler. Her parents died when she was 7 Months old.

    It was a too soon death, her dad was involved in a fatal road accident that claimed his life immediately, while her mum died in hospital due to some compy. At the age of 7 months she was already a total orphan.

    Things were tough because her remaining family was not well off financially. Her aunt from Msambwueni decided to take her, she even used to breastfeed her, because her mum died when she was still breastfeeding.

    Her aunt and uncle tried their best to make sure that she receives atleast some of the basic needs. She used to go to school barefeets, she used to carry books in a breads bag. They were very poor to an extend that even getting one meal per day was a challenge.

    Her aunt tried her best to hawk mangos and other things to sustain their life, but things weren’t cool. Their house was made of papyrus reeds (Makuti), and it wasn’t stable ,it had a bend on one side. During rainy season, she used to be affected by jiggers, because the environment was just an conducive.

    After all that suffering, at the age of 6 years God answered prayers, and by good luck, she was among the poor children who were picked by the area leader to go and get sponsored. She was taken into an orphanage, that was being owned by a white man from London.

    That is where things begun to change, life was atleast good, she managed to get educated, everything was provided for her. She kept on growing with a spirit of not giving up and more prayerful.

    One thing led to another, she started landing into acting deals , she landed into Pete series and later landed into Sultana series. The program that has changed her life completely. She is now a celebrity and wealthy. Sultana admitted that Royal media is paying her well and she is optimistic that she will be the next biggest actress in the continent.
