Why Eliud Kipchoge Didn’t Attend Kiptum’s Burial.

The demise of Kiptum brought together athletes from different parts of the world. The president of athletics in the world was among the senior guests. The likes of Julius Yego, Rudisha and many celebrated sportspeople were there, however the greatest of all the time Eliud Kipchoge was missing.

This is something that raised concerns amongst kenyans. However during the whole mourning time, Kipchoge found himself in a hot soup from online netizens and Kiptum’s fans.

This is after he posted a post mourning thr death of Kiptum, yet according to online netizens, he didn’t celebrate Kiptum while alive, when he broke his record in Chicago.

It was a controversy online that spiked a form of enemity between Kiptum’s fans and Kipchoge. The entire environment was hostile to him, and might be among the reasons he didn’t show up.

According to reliable sources, it is alleged that Kipchoge might have received intelligence reports that people , especially Kiptum’s fans were planning something against him, hence the area could be insecure for him.

In real life, Kipchoge and Kiptum were best friends and he even used to look at him. However the enemity is being catalysed by fans, who went to an extent of claiming that Kipchoge had a hand in an accident. Those were unverified claims and were being spread by people who weren’t aware of what happened.

The autopsy report from Johannsen Oduor revealed that Kiptum died from multiple head injuries. The police revealed that it was a normal accident, whereby he lost control , entered a ditch and hit a tree, hence him and coach passing on the the spot.

For Kipchoge he is being crucified for a mistake that is not his. The hostile environment might be the reason why he didn’t show up at the funeral.
