Why Boniface Kariuki Will Be Buried With A Kenyan Flag.
Boniface Kariuki Mwangi, the mask vendor who was shot by police officer identified as Klinzy Barasa Masinde, at a very close range, is set to be laid to rest today on 11th July 2025. His body arrived at Kangema in the morning hours and the coffin was covered with a Kenyan flag.
Boniface was a GenZ, and the young people have been demonstrating in the streets demanding for better governance. However Boniface wasn’t demonstrating, he was selling mask, which were also helpful to the young people who were in the streets.
The reason why Boniface Kariuki will be buried with a Kenyan flag, is because it has been a very crucial thing when GenZs are burying their fellow comrades who were killed by police officers during the protests. Almost everyone who has been shot by police officers during demonstrations, has been buried with a Kenyan flag, a clear sign that they died fighting for their country.
