Machachari was one of the most popular tv shows starting from 2008 there to 2019 when it ended. Some of the actors who were depending on the show are really suffering.

The famous twins known as Mturi and Mture were among the favourite actors of the show. Speaking in an interview with Mungai Eve, Mturi and Mture who are living deep inside Mwihoko just few kilometres from Githurai, said that life has been like hell for them.
The twins revealed that the money they earned, they used it to pay rent, school fees, and cater for basic needs and treatment of their mother. They said that since the show ended in 2019,things have been getting worse everyday. They are struggling with life, and even getting their daily meal has been difficult.

They said that they have been forced to be chalkboys in a local pool table in a club so that they can at least make some money. They are really struggling with life, and praying that one day they will see light at the end of the tunnel. They said that they still have passion in acting and if given a chance, they will follow their dreams.
