Business community in Thika town has finally decided to come out openly, and revealed how the increase of cheap daylight prostitution done by young girls and mature women has been negatively affecting their businesses.
Speaking in an online interview, the business people said that the prostitutes have made it a habit of selling their bodies infront of their shops. Hence when a customer comes, with intentions of buying things from their shops, especially a man, they distract them.
Some even go to an extend of luring the customer to have cheap intimacy, making them divert their attentions, and not ending up to buy from their shops. If the customer refuses their deal, they insult them, hence creating a bad impression for the business premises.
They urged the government to intervene and ban daylight prostitution in Thika town, it is on the rise, apart from being immoral, it is negatively affecting the business people, some even go a day without selling, because customers have named the area where their business is located as a den of prostitution.
