Tom Daktari: A Former Mayai Pasua Hawker Who Is Making Millions of Money in Entertainment Industry.
Biography of Tom Daktari
The saying trust the process has really revealed itself in the life of famous content creator, Mwalimu Tom Daktari. It has been a journey full of ups and downs, but the challenges were alot before him making it to the top, and becoming such a huge brand in Kenya.

Tom Daktari hails from a humble family of 9 children; 5 boys and 4 girls in Zaikoni Area, Kathiani. Despite his family’s financial constraints, Tom’s dream was to become a Kenyan filmmaker.
He began his education journey at Kombu Primary School in Ukambani and later continued to St. Martin Kithunguini High School.
Hawking Eggs.
After completing highschool in 2016, Tom shifted to the city to look for greener pastures..He used to reside with his elder brother. Who had some business ideas for him.
The brother decided to boost him by buying for him eggs , so that he can be hawking boiled eggs in the city. This hustle wasn’t easy. Tom revealed that the first day he hawked the eggs, it was just a total turn off. Out of 48 eggs he only sold 6 of them.

What a demoralising hustle, he was just forced to eat the other remaining eggs with the family. He tried other businesses but he used to fail terribly, it was like doing businesses wasn’t his thing.
Acting Career
Tom’s brother decided to take him to Kayole Social hall, for setbook auditions. He successful managed to get a role, and that is how his acting career began.
He later got enrolled at Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, where he studied film and graduated in 2020.
During the studying period, Tom was also trying to improve his skills, he even joined the Ultimate Top comic competition, and reached the semi finals. Despite not winning it, he managed to create a strong bond with Sammy Kioko who was the winner.
Him together with Sammy Kioko opened a youtube channel, they had two channels, and they started doing highschool skits that really went viral. They had a school known as Kwavonza, and that is how the two managed to grow as a brand.
Tom Daktari started to be famous. During the COVID 19 period, the two teamed up with Cartoon Comedian and Lexy of becky and dropped Sweet Moyo series, that really gained alot of views on YouTube.

The brand kept on elevating. Tom became more famous, he decided to join Tiktok, and started another unique content, which kenyans love. On Tiktok Tom Daktari is very famous and his sounds have been gaining popularity making him to land into Multimillion deals.
At the end of 2023, the life of Tom had transformed completely and he even managed to buy a brand new Nissan Xtrail, worth ksh.3 Million. As at 2024 Tom is still getting deals and the brand is still elevating to greater heights.
