” Katiba Yetu Inaruhusu Kuwa Na Wabunge Wajinga” Tanzanian Artist Dudubaya Reveals
One of the most celebrated Tanzanian legendary artist Dudubaya, has exposed the constitution of Tanzania for allowing uneducated people to vie for parliamentary seat. As it stands the only qualification of being an MP in Tanzania, is completing primary school. Meaning someone above 18 years who has class seven certificate is eligible to vie for MP seat.
Dudubaya said that this is the reason why the country can’t and will never grow. Because there are no elite minds in the parliament. He said that class seven dropouts can’t make correct decision and can never help the society to grow. They are just a bunch of fools who allows follows what the president tell them to do.
According to Dudubaya there is need of Tanzania to have senate, a house of assembly of people who are educated and can read and formulate the constitution well. Leaders who can act as role models and atleast can make wise decisions for the country.
