Mike Makarina is one of the senior political activists in Azimio La Umoja who hails from the Mount Kenya Region. He is from Meru, and his support for Raila Odinga has really gained him fame. He is fearless and known for criticizing the government.

Makarina however decided to flaunt his wealth to the public and revealed how he is living a very large lifestyle. He first flaunted cash in his car, the money was uncountable, because it was on all seats of his luxurious car.
Makarina said that he can make upto ksh.20 Million on a single day from his garbage collection job. He said he has uncountable lorries that collect garbage, and the national government knows them.

He revealed that he pays tax, and just like any other Kenyan he also goes to beg for tenders from government and secure them. He has no connection but he is making it. He said that the lorries are source of his millions.
Makerina said that he usually spend ksh.300,000 every month on helping the poor. The reason he does that is because he has only four children and the money he has is more, they cannot finish it.
He went on and revealed that he owns three luxurious cars and none of them is below ksh.20 Million. Which is true because he always cruises around with different Lexus LX 570 that are worth about ksh.25 Million.
He also said that he owns a multimillion house in Mombasa and he is just very wealthy. People should stop saying that he can be paid to change his stand on government.
