The Sabasaba protest was not only fatal, the police went to an extend of throwing teargas at residential areas, homes with young kids. The kids were not part of the protesters, but as usual Kenyan police decided to continue with the impunity they have been doing under the current regime.

Young helpless kids had no option but to run on the top of their building for safety. In the video that is going viral online, the two were spotted fearing for their lives at a very risky place on top of the building.

The Sabasaba protest led to 19 deaths, and among them, a 14 years old kid from Kamkunji area was shot dead by police officers. About 500 people were arrested and several properties were damaged across the country.
