    Akothee: How I Lost Over Ksh.5 Million On Dairy Farming.

    Esther Akoth well known as Akothee finally opened up on why she no longer do dairy farming. The musician is practicing agriculture in his village home, but she has stayed away from keeping the dairy cows, because of the huge loss she made.

    Speaking in an interview with Presenter Ali and Trudy Kitui, Akothee said that she was once determined to keep dairy cows, but it failed terribly due to his employees who used to rob things and they weren’t treating the cows very well.

    Madam boss said that she bought 6 cows and each cow, costed her ksh.500,000 . That is a total of ksh.3 Milllion. Buying food and other things costed her ksh. 1 Million. Paying the workers, maintaining the cows, and even buying things like generator costed her much.

    In a span of a year, her workers had failed her terribly, they used to steal milk, other essential things, the cows were thin, and they couldn’t just survive in such a hostile condition. That is how Akothee lost over ksh. 5 Million on dairy farming. There is no profit she made from the cows.

    It was a difficult moment for her, and she promised herself never to keep dairy cows again. Currently she is just keeping local cows that can feed on their own and the pigs that her husband Omosh is rearing.
