Lack of Condoms is Making Most of Nairobi Prostitutes to Engage into Unprotected Sex.

Currently there is acute shortage of Condoms in all African nations. Kenya is among the countries that there people have been greatly affected by this shortage.In Nairobi County many prostitutes especially the ones who are based at Koinange streets, have been forced to risk their lives and engage into unprotected sex with their clients.

The main reason they are doing this is because some of these prostitutes are bread winners in their families, and if they return home empty handed, then their family will be the one suffering.

They have remained with no option because, there is also shortage of the HIV prevention medicines , and the ones that are available are sold at a very high price, and only few prostitutes can afford them.

The government of Kenya said that the whole of this year we should try to use other methods of safe intercourse because, condoms supply will start next year.

It is indeed a very tough time for prostitutes, because despite engaging in unprotected sex, some of them have lost customers, because their are a good number of customers who prefer protected sex. Lets hope things will be good soon.
