The nation media group has decided to lay off its top Journalist and prime news anchor Mark Masai. This comes unexpected but the media house was forced to do so due to several reasons.

Currently the nation is experiencing an economic slow down. The Kimathi based media group is therefore trying as much as possible to reduce its expenditure.
The reduction will see their employees who are earning huge salaries being fired. Masai has worked at the station for 14 years , he made his debut in 2008.
The senior journalist confirmed the news and said that he has had a very good time at the media house.

Sources at Nation Centre have revealed that Mark Masai, who anchors prime time news and doubles as talkshow host, may have been sacrificed among employees targeted for earning big salaries.

The newspaper division of NMG has already seen big names – including Kenya Editors Guild President Churchill Otieno and Taifa Leo Managing Editor Peter Ngare – leave .The print media department is said to be the worst affected by the culling of the workforce at NMG in a bid to reduce expenditure.
