70 Nairobi County MCA’S Sign Motion To Impeach Governor Sakaja
It seems the days of Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja in office are numbered. Nairobi MCAs have begun collecting signatures to impeach the governor and his deputy. So far, 70 out of 122 Members of the County Assembly have already signed the impeachment motion.
Speaking to online media, the MCAs said the governor is out of touch with the situation in the county. He reportedly ignores calls from MCAs seeking important information.
They accuse him of failing to deliver for the people of Nairobi and allowing corruption to flourish under his watch, making the county appear like a “crime scene.”
The MCAs revealed they are planning a retreat, and within three weeks, they are optimistic they will successfully impeach both the governor and his deputy.
