The Background of Lynn Ngugi
Lynn is a second born in a family of 4 girls. Her parents divorced when she was in class seven.They used to live a good life but after the divorce things changed and her mom moved to Huruma Slums.
Life in Huruma and Going to School.
In the slums life was like hell, they used even to sleep hungry. However her mother really struggled to make sure they go to school.
She completed her primary school at Ndururumo primary and scored 388 marks. She was unable to join a national school due to school fees. Lynn Joined Magomo girls in Kinangop and scored a B+.
Her dream to study law wasn’t possible due to lack of school fees.So she just decided to join theatre and act set book as she accumulate money.
Working as a Waitress in Dubai and Qatar
After two years she went to media school and did a diploma. She finished college and started looking for jobs with no success. Her friend advised her to go to UAE. So Lynn Ngugi decided to go to Dubai and she worked there for 6 months .

She came back with savings she had made, tried to do a show but it failed terribly. Things got tough, she went to Qatar for 3yeaes , saved enough at came back to shoot her dream show.
However the Kilimani mums show was flagged off on YouTube by a big media house.She got depressed but didn’t give up.
Her Journey to Success and Becoming a YouTube Millionaire.
2017 during the general election is the year which her journey to success begun. Her together with her director, Edwin Ochieng , landed a role to interview people at the polling station.
She did an excellent job and Tuko absorbed her. She started working at Tuko and things were not easy but she had strong determination. She decided to film a video about street children, it went viral and she started becoming famous.

Tuko became a bigger brand because of her. She worked for Tuko till 2021, when she decided to start her own show. Tuko will never forget her, she left a gap that won’t be filled easily because she was just on her own top level.
Becoming a YouTube Millionaire.
The Lynn Ngugi show is currently one of the biggest shows in Kenya. She is almost 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. Through her show , it is estimated that Lynn earn about ksh. 2.5 Million to 3Million per month. She also has endorsement deals , which means she gets additional millions of money. She is a YouTube Millionaire and the best ever female interviewer in Kenya.
