” Nilikuwa Mrembo But My Hubby Removed My Eye After I Found Him With A Lady On Our Bed” Sad Story Of Rosana
A toxic relationship can lead to two outcomes: life-threatening injuries or death. Rosana Kathure serves as a testament to the horrors of such a relationship, having survived an attempted murder at the hands of her husband, who brutally struck her with a machete multiple times.
Rosana was born and raised in Meru, where she also got married. Initially, her marriage seemed promising, but over time, her husband revealed a toxic side. He began cheating on her, and during arguments, he would threaten her life.
One fateful day, Rosana discovered her husband in bed with another woman. Devastated and heartbroken, she confronted him, but he fell to his knees and begged for forgiveness, pleading with her to keep the incident a secret. Being a forgiving person, Rosana chose to pray with him and accepted his apology, all while caring for their young child. Regardless of her forgiveness, he remained suspicious and left the house with a machete and sharpening tool, claiming he was going out to get food, which they desperately needed.
That night, while Rosana slept, her husband sneaked back home stealthily. Approaching her bedside with the sharp machete, he declared that today would be the day he would kill her—and himself. He justified his intent by saying he needed to silence her so she couldn’t divulge the truth about his infidelity.
Rosana, stunned, attempted to calm him down, urging him to pray with her to overcome this situation. However, he refused her plea and brutally attacked her, slicing her hand and causing several fingers to fall to the ground. In a panic, Rosana screamed for help. He continued the assault, striking her numerous times on her head and face, severely damaging one of her eyes, before fleeing the scene.
Neighbors rushed to help Rosana and found her lying in a pool of blood, initially believing she was dead. She was taken to the Meru Mortuary, where, among seven bodies in the vehicle, she was counted among the deceased. After hours of being laid out, a morgue attendant noticed signs of life in her. Rosana was quickly transported to the emergency room, and treatment began. Gradually, she regained stability, though her recovery was slow and arduous.
Months later, while she became physically stronger, the damage to her eye left her with permanent injuries. Rosana now cherishes her second chance at life and expresses gratitude to God for blessing her with a second child.
In a tragic twist, her husband, believing Rosana had died, chose to hang himself, marking the end of his own story.
