KTN Expose List Of 5 MPs Led By Ichungwa,That Kenyans Have Written Petitions To IEBC To Recall.
KTN has finally decided to reveal the names of the five Members of Parliament that Kenyans have petitioned the IEBC to recall. Kimani Ichung’wah, the MP for Kikuyu, is leading the list.
Now that the IEBC has been reconstituted, Kenyans are free to file petitions with the commission if they wish to recall any Member of Parliament. The 2010 Constitution provides clear guidelines under which the people of Kenya can recall their MPs.
In the list released by KTN, Kimani Ichung’wah—the MP for Kikuyu and Leader of the Majority—is at the top. He is followed by Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, Tharaka Nithi Senator Mo Fire, Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi, and North Imenti MP Rahim.
The list is expected to grow, as many Kenyans have vowed that by 2027, they will have recalled a significant number of MPs who they believe are supporting a government that is humiliating them. The IEBC is expected to give feedback soon on how the entire process will be conducted.
