Economically Nairobi is really failing, the city is no longer alive when it comes to businesses. For the past one year alot of shops have been closing down and now as early as 9:00 am, the city is almost empty. There is no business going on, most shops are closed.
Nairobi is no longer a 24 hours economy city the way it used to be during Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta’s time. Alot of traders who are closing down the business have been blaming the government of William Ruto for overtaxing and poor working environment.
However there is a section of traders who have been blaming Shiquo, she is the CEO of Hii Style. She is a very successful business woman and she owns several shops in Nairobi City.
Her main shop is located at RNG Plaza. Shiquo sells her goods, that is clothes, shoes, utensils and even beddings and other beauty products at a very cheaper price. Her price is very cheaper compared to other traders in the city.
She usually imports from China and she usually has huge stocks that sell out within a short period of time. Alot of buyers have now shifted to Hii Style. Hence the sellers are forced to sell their products at a cheaper price like Shiquo or else close down their business.
Alot of traders have complained, and said that is unfair competition, they have urged Shiquo to work on her price, to atleast bring a fair competition in the market. For buyers they are really behind Shiquo and they are supporting her by always buying her goods.
