A Famous Female Luo Journalist Fakes Her Dad’s Dead And Con’s Her Fellow Journalists Ksh.265,000
A famous female journalist who is a Luo and works in one of the big media companies in Kenya, has been exposed of faking the death of her father. Fellow journalists through WhatsApp group decided to come through for her, raised Ksh.265,000 to support her during this difficult time only to find out it was lies.
Speaking via Radio 47, Billy Miya said that they have a WhatsApp group of journalists from Luo region. So the lady said her father is dead, they checked on the records, and find out she has been very active in supporting others.
So the members of group decided to raise money for her, they raised over Ksh.265,000. On the burial day, they showed up at Muhoroni to stand with her during this difficult time.
However when they reached there, they were shocked to find out that the name of the lady was missing on the eulogy. In addition the widow wasn’t the mother of the journalist. Her mother was helping the catering team, meaning that the lady’s dad wasn’t the one who had died.
They decided to do research and found out that the lady’s father died along time ago, and the person who they had raised money for was her father’s uncle. Angry emotions are high in the watsap group, and journalists are now demanding her to refund all the money they raised for her.
