Finally Portugal have made it to the 2022 worldcup tournament in Qatar. This is after they managed to thrash the hopeful North Macedonia 2-0. It was not an easy match for both teams, there was a lot of tension but at the end portugal had alot of intensity, hence managing to win the match easily.
Manchester United Super middle fielder and talisman Bruno Fernandes was the hero of the night after he scored a brace and helped portugal to smile all the way to Qatar in November. Bruno Fernandes opened the score at the 32nd minute with a very brilliant goal.
At first half portugal dominated the match and tried as much as possible to create chances. On the other hand Macedonia seemed to be struggling to settle and poses the game because of the pressures from the Portuguese strikers. First half ended 1-0 in favour of Portugal.
Bruno again scored his second goal at the 65th minute and this was also a very fantastic goal. He had just assured Portugal that they are going to Qatar, the celebrations everywhere was a clear indication that Portugal has won the match.
Macedonia that kicked Italy out of the qualifiers was very poor and for real there was no way they could have defeated the super Portugal squad. Ronaldo was also very key player during the match and he tried to create chancea despite missing some scoring opportunities. The game ended 2- 0, and Portugal officially joined the list of Europe teams that will be in Qatar.
In the other matches, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s side Sweden was kicked out by Poland, with the goals from Lewandoski and Zielnski assuring Poland there place in Qatar. In Africa Ghana and Senegal managed to qualify. This will be the last world cup for Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe of Portugal.
