Exposed: How Kenyan Tiktokers Are Doing WashWash Business In The Name Of Gifts.

There is this notion that people are making money on Tiktok, yes it is true that people are making huge amount of money, especially through gifts, but this can’t happen all over night.

Famous content creator, Truth Watchdog, decided to take a dive into the viral stories and narrative of kenyan tiktokers claiming to be making millions of money on Tiktok and came out with a very detailed report.
Apparently it has emerged that there is just a list of specific tiktokers that get several lions during their lives. Those tiktokers don’t have helpful content, they usually go live to talk dirty things or beef with each other , something controversial that will attract people’s attention.

According to Truth Watchdog, there are tiktokers who are gifted lions, and later pay it back by sleeping with the gifters and most of them are in LGBTQ. This is currently happening on Tiktok.

The other thing happening is washwash business or money laundering. Watchdog said that this is whereby bar waiters or service providers take pictures of peoples ATM smart cards ( Visa), later use them to buy people gifts, then those people withdraw the gifts as money and they share equally.

For a person to buy a gift with your Atm card, he or she doesn’t need a pin number, they only need Account number and CVC, and those can be obtained by getting a picture of the card both front and back.
That is the money laundering scheme that is going on on Tiktok, and many kenyans have lost money from their Visa cards, and they will continue to do so if they aren’t careful.

The other thing is that Kenyans need to know that 1 lion is Ksh.35,000, and if you withdraw the money you might get about ksh.14000, because tiktok cuts almost half and other transactions. So there are no tiktok millionaires in Kenya, only few are genuine but majority are into that business.
