Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua famous as Riggy G caused stir online after he decided to speak about the cost of living, and compared it to the cost of living during the reign of the former president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Gachagua who was speaking during an event, that he attended with his boss William Ruto, said that the Kenya Kwanza Government is really working hard to lower the cost of living. As he always says, Riggy insisted that they found the country in a very bad state because the treasury had been drained.

He went on and claimed that recently the national government, lowered the cost of Maize flour from ksh.230 to Ksh.175 . This is something that has not yet really happened on the ground, but according to Riggy G, the flour goes at Ksh.175.
Angry Kenyans were forced to react at his statements because the flour is still expensive, and most brands are still selling it at Ksh.200 and above. This has made the cost of living to be extremely high and majority of Kenyans can’t even manage to eat three meals per day.
