Protesters Destroy New Dustbins In Nairobi CBD, Steal Street Lights And Construction Materials.

Recently the county government of Nairobi led by Geoffrey Mosiria, installed new dustbins and modern street lights along several streets in CBD, but within few minutes of demonstrations, everything had been damaged, dustbins destroyed, lights stolen, and building materials stolen at the sites that were under constructions.

Chief officer of environment, Geoffrey Mosiria couldn’t hide his disappointment as he showed Kenyans how the city had been damaged. Mosiria has been at the forefront of modernizing Nairobi, and he had begun by installing dustbins and modern lights, but now everything is back to zero.

The building materials at one of the construction site were stolen and the protesters were even aiming to burn a tractor that was at the site. It is like some people took advantage of the protest and decided to loot county government essentials as they damage them.
