Nicholas who is from Ukambani and a Bodaboda rider in Nairobi, said that the business has really transformed his life. With the changing world, Nicholas decided to join online platform for riders, which are Uber and Bolt.

He said that nowadays being at the stage is not profitable as compared to operating with Uber and Bolt. Nicholas said that at the stage he used to wait upto 3 hours to atleast get a single passenger.

While at the stage he used to make ksh.1200 daily. However when he advanced to using the online applications, Nicholas makes ksh.1,800 daily, which is a very good amount of money. Remember this is the profit after buying fuel and all the expenses.

He urged the BodaBoda riders to join either bolt or uber, because there you can’t lack passengers. Nicholas said that his life has transformed and with over 40,000 ksh. Per month, which is more than some of the employees working in office salary, Nicholas is able to provide for his family.

He is also into a merry go round, which has been very beneficial to him, and really helped him  in terms of financial discipline. He saves alot and he is also able to pay for his loan motorbike.

The challenges this young man face is just the economic challenges such as the increase in petrol prices. Otherwise the business or hustle is doing well and he is optimistic that it will change his life completely.
