Man Who Had Survived After Drinking Ilicit Brew Dies After Returning to Drink the Poisonous Liquor.

Residents of Kamukuywa area in Bungoma County are currently mourning the Dead of their beloved one, who died after drinking a poisonous brew. This is just 2 days after 3 people lost their lives after drinking the same ilicit brew.
According to the residents Eugene Wafula who is now dead, was among the few survivors, who had been treated and discharged from the hospital just two days after being admitted for drinking the illicit brew.

It is said that Eugene who is alcoholic didn’t learn from that lesson, and instead of quiting alcohol, he went again to the same place and got drunk. The poisonous brew affected him again and he died after developing stomach complications.
The area chiefs and residents have also been forced to take back six people who were also previously in hospital to be treated again, because they had drunk the same alcohol again.

The residents are now pleading with the national government to issue a crackdown against the illicit brew sellers and completely ban the brew because it has led to death of many people.

The deaths related to people drinking Ilicit brew have become very common in this country. It is not the first time. Citizens have been always warned against taking Ilicit brew, but they don’t listen.

I think it is time for the national government to issue a national crackdown towards the people who sell this killer brew. People have lost their loved ones, children left without parents due to something that can be avoided. Western Kenya and Nakuru and also Kisii are the hot spots of this brew.
