OG is a Luo from Bondo but he was raised in Nairobi. He came from a middle class family, though things changed immediately his father, who was the bread winner of the family died .

Khaligraph Jones decided to join music industry, with a quest of making it in life, and atleast changing the home situation. He started as a gospel artist, and he was doing gospel music with the likes of Hopekid.

However he decided to divert to secular and he started doing rap music. Back then English rap in Kenya wasn’t valued, but the OG started to make kenyans love hiphop.
Through his official Instagram page, Khaligraph Jones shared a photo of him with the music legendary, Abbas, during a studio session. This was in 2012, and Khaligraph compared his looks to ‘Omena’ ( Small fish).

The singer was indeed still struggling, but few top notch musicians back then believed in him. Abbas and Frasha are among people who gave Khaligraph exposure and helped him to grow musically and also as a brand.
