Citizen TV presenter , and an employee at Royal Media House , Francis Gachuri caused stir online , after he denied Yvonne Okwara a warm hug live on camera. Kenyans online really hitted out at him for doing so.

Gachuri has been a very sensational journalist at Royal Media. He is among the mentors of many upcoming journalists. However on 2nd march 2023, he announced his exit from the company. He did this after doing his last news gang show.

His colleagues Linus Kaikai and Yvonne Okwara decided to appreciate him in a unique way. Yvonne personally decided to remind him of a childhood primary school game.

They did the game live on camera, they did it perfectly and it was just amazing . At the end of the game, Yvonne expected a very warm hug from Gachuri, she even leaned towards him, but Francis assumed, and he didn’t hug her. It was a silent snub , but the way Gachuri did it he seemed like he was not aware that Yvonne wants to hug him.

Francis Gachuri is exiting Royal Media Group after being their employee for 17 years.He joined the station when he was 24 years old and exited when 41. The journalist has not yet revealed his next move, but he appreciated Royal Medi for naturing him and making him one of the best journalists in Kenya.
