Samuel Githaiga is one of the most famous tiktoker in Kenya. He is also among the few kenyans who have come out openly to reveal that they are HIV positive and also being in the LGBTQ community.

Speaking in an interview with Presenter Ali. Githaiga Samuel who was born and raised in Kangemi revealed that he contracted HIV through a gay prostitute . He said that he was raised from a humble background, so he discovered that he is gay when in highschool.
This made his life in highschool to be very difficult because most schools are always against the LGBTQ community. Githaiga Samuel was expelled from several schools because of being gay, his parents were also against him because of his sexuality.
So the tiktoker decided to start working as a sex worker in the city , Westland ares. After 3 months he discovered that he is HIV positive. This was the most difficult time in his life. Because he was homeless and his condition needed proper medication.

However by goodluck one nurse who used to give him ARVs in a certain city hospital, came through for him and atleast started to help him. That is how he started getting courage and with time he decided to make it public that he is gay .
