From Millionaire To A Beggar: How Olive Kagendo Lost Ksh.200 Million In A Day Because Of Love
The story of Olive Kagendo that was shared on Afrimax English, is a very sad story. The 46 years old woman has been through alot, and she is going through alot, all because of love and toxic husband. She literally went from a millionaire to a beggar in a single day.
Olive was happily married to Peter Mureithi sometimes back in 2006. They were blessed with a baby, and later Peter was transferred to Mombasa. They were all making money together, but after a while Peters behaviour started changing.
He no longer used to come to visit them every week, sometimes he could even take 2 months to come and visit them. Sometimes he couldn’t visit them completely, and didn’t want Olive to go to Mombasa and visit him.
One day she made an impromptu visit to Mombasa, she didn’t tell him, reaching there he found the gate where he was living had been closed. She called him he didn’t pick the calls. She later called their pastor in Mombasa.
The pastor decided to open up and informed her that her husband has married another wife and he had told him not to tell her. She was heartbroken, but because of love, she travelled back to Nairobi and never asked him about that. She was still in love.
She came back in Nairobi, this time round they had even opened a security agency, and even getting deals from Safaricom, and they also had several rental houses. They were generating income, and she was the one incharge of all the businesses.
In 2010, she had some money, together with the husband, who was secretly having affair with the second wife, they bought a land and Kagendo decided to build a family home.
Now the problem started after the husband got a child with the second wife, he started abandoning them, and he was clearly showing that he doesn’t need her in his life.
In 2015, she got pregnant for the husband, and this is what changed everything. The second wife found the message, and she was very angry because Peter had told her she had divorced Kagendo long time ago.
The second wife went to hospital and confirmed it is true Kagendo was pregnant for Peter. She insulted her at the hospital, and later went on to pressurize Peter to chase Kagendo from her home and cut off everything with her.
After coming out from the maternity room, where she had undergone CS. She was still healing, because she had just a 9 days Cs wound. She was shocked to arrive at her mansion gate and found her husband with the second wife at the entrance and they had damaged everything.
The two forcefully evicted her from her mansion, they threw everything outside, and chased her, while she was having a 9 days old baby. The husband had gone to the office where they bought land took the title deeds. Made a fake report in a police station.
In addition he had forceful made her to sign divorce papers. Kagendo tried to make a report to the police station, they were empathetic but justice wasn’t served. The husband illegally sold the land to someone else.
He also gave away all other properties they had acquired together to unknown people. The security agency, the rentals and several Uber cars. In total, in just a single day, Olive Kagendo lost properties worth about Ksh.200 Million.
They have in and out of the court for several years but justice is yet to be served. Even despite DNA confirming that all the children belong to Peter, the husband denied that he isn’t the father. He left and Olive together with the children are living in poverty, struggling to get what to eat.
While the husband is enjoying life and the wealth they made together with Olive Kagendo , he is enjoying with the second wife. Kagendo is currently begging for justice in the court of law or from Kenyans who can help her.
