What Happened to Jimmy Gait?

Jimmy Gait is still remembered as one of the most celebrated gospel artist in Kenya. He is famous for Muhadara, Uratete and Sweet mama hitsongs. He is among the musician who made gospel music a huge deal in the music scene.

Jimmy was born and raised in a humble background, escarpment Kiambu. He went through alot and upon completing his secondary he was unable to raise school fees for campus, hence he went to study theology in one of the Bible colleges in the city.

After that he started doing music, and everything was fine untill 2016, when he released ” Yesu ni sponsor” This song attracted backlash from Kenyans on twitter or X . The bullying even led him to depression. He had changed his singing style and kenyans weren’t impressed.

He was really bullied and trolled in form of funny memes. This made him to go silent for like 3 years. He emerged again in 2019 after concerns from Kenyans.

However this time he came with a shocking and heartfelt news that he was battling with a certain illness. He then went for treatment in India, where people alleged that he was suffering from throat cancer, those were allegations. He was treated and after a while he announced that he was quitting music.

That is how he exited music scene and decided to concentrate on helping kenyans on how to get job online and abroad. He said he doesn’t want to be famous again, and since 2019 , Jimmy Gait just went out of limelight like that.
