One of the most famous Kenyan journalist and celebrated sports commentator Fred Arocho is on his way out of Radio Jambo, which is a radio station under Radio Africa Media Group. He is expected to join Radio 47.

According to information obtained from a reliable source, Radio 47 , which is a newly launched radio station, in Nairobi City, has been looking for famous journalist so that they can help the station to grow.

After signing Hassan Ali who was at Radio Maisha, they decided to look for his perfect partner, and it has been alleged that Fred Arocho has already agreed to join the station. He will be partnering with Hassan Ali on sports segments.
This is a big blow to Radio Jambo, because he is among the most followed radio presenters from the station, and he is also the most loved sports commentator with his famous tag ‘ laduuma’.

To confirm this Fred Arocho shared a cryptic message on his Facebook page, suggesting that it is true he is exiting Radio Jambo for Radio 47.
“Goodmorning Kenya! 47. Hapa ndipo!”
Arocho has been working at Radio Jambo for more than 10 years and he has really built his brand, so maybe he saw it was a good time for him to leave and also experience other media houses.

On the other hand, Radio 47 is really pouring money on famous radio presenter, Billy Miya is among the famous presenters who were offered a very good payslip to join the station. It is still growing and very soon it will be a very big and famous radio station in Kenya.
