A photo of Mzungu woman hawking Mandazi in the streets of Kisumu has surprised many Kenyans. The photo has gone viral, and the woman was spotted confidentily carrying two transparent buckets, with Mandazi inside.

The view of most Kenyans is that hawking is usually done by unemployed people, or somehow people who are straining to make a living. In Africa people still have that view that the whites are some how superior and they aren’t supposed to do some odd jobs.

We all know that there are some whites who reside in Kenya, therefore they are too affected by the hard economy. For the Mzungu woman to hawk Mandazi, it is just the same as African hawkers, because at the end they are all trying all the ways possible to earn a living.
