The Biography of Willis Raburu is very interesting and also inspiring. Raburu is one of the best media personalities in Kenya . He is famous for his 10 over 10 show at Citizen TV. His journey to success hasn’t been that easy, despite the fact that he was raised in a well off family.

Biography of Willis Raburu .
Background.
He was born on 1st April 1987 in Kano, Nyando District in Kisumu County .Willis Raburu’s father is the former famous Provincial Commissioner Peter Raburu. He is now a pastor in Kisumu County. Raburu is the 3rd born and last boy in the family of four.

Education
Raburu went to the famous Aga Khan Primary School in Kisumu. He passed well and joined Chemelil Academy Mixed High School. The school was a boarding.
While at Highschool Raburu used to be a hustler and whenever there is no water in tanks. He used to fetch water for fellow students at a fee.
After highschool he joined Moi University Eldoret. He studied Bachelor in Information Science – Media. This was against his fathers wish who had told him to Do IT. However Willis lied to his father that he is doing IT. His father realized on graduation day in 2010, that Raburu Choose Media. Raburu is pursuing masters degree at USIU University.

Journalist Profession.
Raburu did his internship at Media Max( K24 ) while still a 3rd year in the university. By God’s grace and his hardwork, he secured a job at Citizen TV , immediately after graduating. Citizen hired him in 2010 October.
When I was 24 and I got hired by Citizen Television straight out of campus – that was a very pivotal point in my life. Many did not believe that one can get employed at a reputable organization without having ‘key’ connections. The job came at a time when I had been turned down by other local TV stations – they told me I did not have the right type of voice for broadcast,” Raburu said.

Willis Raburu salary per month at Citizen . According to online news outlets, the gifted all-rounded journalist was to pocket kes700,000 which is inclusive of allowances.
Raburu exited Citizen in 2023 and joined Tv 47 , where he is the host of Wabebe Experience, and he earns almost ksh.1 Million per month.

Marriage has been a problem for him but currently he has settled with Ivy Namu. The two have two children now (2022). Before that he divorced with his first wife Mary Prude in 2020 due to internal disputes.
