Bill Proposing To Extend Ruto’s Term From 5-7 Years Introduced.

It all started as romours, where the Kenya Kwanza members of parliament and senators were heard saying that they will introduce a bill that will increase the presidential term limit from 5 years to 7 years.

This can be done by the national assembly and the senate, through the amendment of the constitution. It has now been revealed that Senator Samson Cherargei has now introduced the bill in the senate and it is ready for discussion.

Cherargei said that the president must be given enough time to deliver his promises to Kenyans and hence five years is not enough, according to him seven years is enough for a president. Meaning a president will have to serve for 14 years, that is if he or she is elected for 2 terms.
