One of the most famous and celebrated kenyan gospel artist in Kenya, and also known as the cutest gospel musician in Kenya, caused stir online, after he dropped another secular song featuring Scar Mkadinali.

The song is called ‘Airbnb’ and it has been inspired by the happenings in Kenya, whereby a good number of ladies have been assaulted in Airbnbs and even some killed. Masterpiece and Scar Mkadinali decided to drop a hit song about it.

However what shocked people is the lyrics of Masterpiece. In the song, he says confidently while smoking, that he started smoking bhang after being born again. This was a very sensitive lyrics, meaning when he wasn’t born again, he was not smoking weed.

Masterpiece was amongst the best gospel artists in Kenya between 2015 and 2020. He was really dropping music that were for church. However in 2022 he started changing and in 2023 he started dropping secular music.

He did just like Mr seed, the gospel artist who also turned to secular. The main reason they are turning to secular, is because in Kenya there are few gospel shows and the pay is also down compared to performing in clubs and secular shows.
